Lean Innovations

Lean Innovations trains healthcare providers how to adopt lean principles for troubleshooting and problem solving in-house, not through outside consultants. Their identity and communications materials had to convey the key aspects of the system quickly and clearly to key managerial staff who drive the decisions behind staff training. Since the system teaches staff to use their own knowledge base and experience to come up with solutions that work, the concept for the identity was the statement by one interviewee that the only tools required were a pen and a piece of paper or napkin! Basically, staff are taught that the “tools are in their hands”, a phrase which ended up being the tagline we developed for them to use during their rollout in the summer of 2006.

The website we developed for them can be viewed here.
