HR Online offers a set of customizable intranet-based database programs which allow human resource departments to do online employee performance reviews and surveys. Previous marketing materials had been written by the programmers and were filled with heavy technical jargon which obscured the real advanatages of using the suite of programs.
The approach we developed focused on the basic advantage of the system which helps HR departments find out what people think vs. what they say. Dry humourous comments in the talking/thought bubbles conveyed the idea behind each of the specific areas that the surveys could give relevant data and information for. The text was carefully layered to give greater information the further readers dealved into it. As a result the materials spoke to 3 levels: high-level executives, HR department managers, and HR technical support staff.
