The challenge was to develop an identity for a Whistler/Blackcomb-based helicopter company which charters its aircraft for everything from heli-skiing tours to forestry surveys and firefighting.

The design utilized a slightly retro feel which helps to evoke the romanticism of the helicopter business. The pilots are all “Indiana Jones” type characters and they identify with the symbolism inherent in the classic feel of the emblem. The helicopter in flight is an A-Star which their main machine and the mountain below are the actual silhouette of the Blackcomb/Whistler mountain peaks. The emblem has been applied successfully to hats, shirts, signage on the helicopters and the stationery package.
