Emdoubleyu Design is a design and communications firm which was founded by Matthew Warburton in 1985 as a “nom de plume” for intriguing freelance projects. Emdoubleyu Design became a full-time operation in 1997 and offers personalized, professional service in the areas of visual identity, corporate communications, marketing materials, advertising and writing. Drawing on experience gained from working at Canada’s top design and typesetting firms in Toronto and Vancouver over the past 25 years, Emdoubleyu Design has a reputation for excellent design solutions and a style of working that encourages an open, collaborative, and respectful partnership with clients.
Partner Lynn Warburton brings over 15 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations and event management to the firm, and now focuses on writing and strategic consulting.
An award-winning design firm in its own right, Emdoubleyu Design focuses on a smaller client base to allow for more direct relationships with clients and suppliers. By keeping management levels to a minimum, and working with a network of media, research and production specialists, Emdoubleyu Design can effectively implement any size of communications or marketing strategy—on time, and within budget.
Emdoubleyu Design subscribes to and abides by the Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada (GDC). Matt Warburton has been a Professional Member (MGDC) of the GDC since 1990 and was honoured with Fellowship status (FGDC) in 2003.
Both Lynn and Matt have been members of the Vancouver Board of Trade since January 2008.
In addition to Matt’s work on numerous GDC executives, both provincial and national, he has spoken on design issues and his work at design conferences in Quebec City (1998), Halifax (2001), Winnipeg (2004) and Vancouver. He has contributed to a variety of committees over the years, including the Canadian Craft & Design Museum (2002), Design West (2003), the Canada Post Stamp Advisory Committee (August 2001 to February 2008), and he currently chairs the Kwantlen University College GDMA Advisory Committee.
Lynn currently sits on the Local First Food First steering committee and also sat on the GVRD Food Policy Planning Committee (2005-2006) and the GVMHSS Public Relations Committee (1990-1996). |
